Dear Readers,
I’m wishing you a good Thanksgiving, with lots of laughter and no stresses inherited from past generations or bygone holidays — just relaxing, enjoying the people around you. and eating well.
Thanks, We were with you in our thoughts
And we were speaking of you and the 2004 Thanksgiving in Switzerland — how you made mashed potatoes with nutmeg and how Jimmy had memories of Thanksgivings in early childhood.
I like that idea of no stresses inherited from the past–I suspect so many people struggle with that! I am thankful that my inheritance is of lovely memories of holidays!
I’m watching the grandchildren forming early thanksgiving memories and hoping they will remember things like their pride in making cranberry sauce at nursery school and not their anger about the grownups’ divided attention.
