In Eastern Massachusetts, it’s been a mild and sparkling day.
In Northern Sweden, there’s snow.
Suzanne, her dad, Erik, and Erik’s family are doing cross-country skiing there. At Fjallnas hogfjallshotel and Strandgarden, where Erik’s extended family stays every year between Christmas and New Year’s, dusk descends at 1 p.m.
Can you read the signpost for Strandgarden? Me neither. But it’s pretty nice for skiing in those latitudes
. Last year, dog sledding was on the agenda, too.

Wow, no I can’t read the sign, but how unearthly it looks, in an unearthly landscape! Beautiful!

When I blow the sign up, I can almost read the letters under the snow. Erik is a good photographer.

Would have liked to see everyone. Just too cold! P.S. your eldest is turning out to be a man of many talents. I was impressed with the small magazine John brought home (5 kr), but I couldn’t read the Swedish. The illustrator was brilliant, too.
