Here I am with my siblings, posing before the fireplace in our Christmas Eve pajamas long ago and far away. (We used to be allowed to open one present before Christmas morning — pajamas.) I’m the kid with the ponytail. Today, the boy on the left does biomedical research, the little girl is a psychiatrist, and the boy on the right writes business books.
May all the good things about the season wrap you ’round, and may the not-so-good things roll off your back and vanish.

I love this photo! How fun to know you all turned out so well! And I love that piece of art on the mantel–that’s pretty hip! I remember my mother painted her own version of “Nude Descending a Staircase” so we had modern art, too!
That must be where your artistic talent comes from. The painting by abstract expressionist and family friend Richard Pousette-Dart had to be sold after my mother died.
Well, I’m sorry the painting is no longer in your family but it’s great to have the memory of it captured in such a great photo.
🙂
I love this photo. Thank you for sharing…
I sent it to my siblings. The brother on the right commented that the boys looked awfully glum. 😃
