Happy Mother’s Day to all nurturing people out there — mothers and nonmothers. Among nurturing nonmothers who deserve thanks today, I think of my late sister, my friends Lillian and Sandy, blogger Bereaved Single Dad, and Teacher David.

Well, I think if we are going to honor mothers, we ought to honor people like that.
The other mothers in my neighborhood were great support when my mom went back to work full time.
