As of today, I’ve been posting every single day for ten years. This was my first post. As you can see, I hadn’t yet figured out how Comments were done!
Suzanne knew that I blogged at work and asked me to do a blog for Luna & Stella, her birthstone jewelry company. She said I could write about anything that interested me, which is a good thing because as much as I love birthstone jewelry, it would be hard to say something new about it every day.
The things that interest me include the arts, the environment, my family, and people who try to make the world a better place. So I think I’ll start out by telling you about an organization that I learned of from Suzanne, The Homeless Prenatal Program, which is based in San Francisco. “HPP has three major goals: Healthy babies … safe and nurturing families where children thrive … and economically stable families.” I love that this organization is really preventing problems before they start. It’s nearly impossible to measure the benefits of such endeavors. Every positive impression that people associate with her brand reinforces their comfort level with her business.

That was proved one time very early on, when a woman said she didn’t usually buy from unfamiliar sites but thought Suzanne’s Mom made Suzanne’s business sound very safe!

EVERYDAY for 10 years. Erik suggested it because you are a creative thinker and a great writer… but I don’t think any of us could have imagined how disciplined you would be, even at times when we practically begged you to take a break! It’s an accomplishment few writers can claim.

Yes! I associate it with my oldest grandchild’s first birthday. That’s when his aunt an uncle asked me to blog for Luna & Stella. (PS And a happy belated birthday to you, my friend!)
