I’m starting to notice that my photos (all taken on my mobile phone) have recurrent themes. Today’s nine pictures reflect a few of those interests: words on signs, shadows, plants, nature, art. Either I’m in a rut, or I’m going to get really good at a few themes.

You will get really good. Rather, you are already very good and sensitive to words and lighting.
Well, thanks. Among the many photographers I admire, you are certainly one.
Thanks
I say you’re good at the themes, not in a rut! I love the worms and crawlers signs we see wherever there’s water to fish in. We had a store around here that advertised “Deli Bait.” I’m pretty sure those were two separate things but . . .
Funny. One of the most amusing things about signs is that many sign makers don’t consider how the words sound to the average reader. Translated signs are fun, too. Kudos to people who speak more than one language (wish I did), but I just had to take a photo of a sign in China that had a slightly off translation. That photo ended up on p 23 of the book “Chinglish.” It was on an escalator and said, “Keep your feet.”
