Photos: John and Suzanne’s Mom.
Thank you for the birthday flowers, Erik. The mint smells great!
John tells me that the reason sand sculptures like the ones below survive for days and weeks is that glue is mixed with the sand. I have trouble picturing just how that works, how you shape sand that’s full of glue. But I love the results. And since I still haven’t gotten to the Hampton Beach display that the Nomad writes about, this handsome squid will have to do.
More on the squid at Atlantis Rising, here.
The next picture is from across the street and shows the working fishing port in Pt Judith.
My other photos are not in any particular order. I have a band tuning up at this year’s Porchfest, the parachutes at the subway stop in Porter Square, Cambridge, wildflowers by the train station, Old Harbor boats in New Shoreham, paddles at the Oar restaurant, sheep by watercolorist Susan L Johnson, and the results of last year’s berry picking (blackberry jam by Sandra, left, and wild grape jelly, right.)
